Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS)
A government program launched in 2021 to bridge the early-stage funding gap for startups. It offers up to ₹20 lakh as grants for proof of concept, prototype development, and product trials, and up to ₹50 lakh as debt or convertible debentures for market entry and commercialization. Startups must be DPIIT-recognized, tech-driven, and less than two years old. Funding is milestone-based and disbursed via incubators, which can also avail up to ₹5 crore for fostering eligible startups.
